Memphis Packer Backers
History:
The Memphis Packerbackers Fan Club stated before the game was televised. Back in the day there was just a mound of dirt and a few guys sitting around a radio yelling and screaming. Someone thought that it would be better if there were big screen tvs so we all could see the plays. It is hard to pass up beer and cheese and PACKER FOOTBALL among friends!
Current:
The Packer Backers have beeen meeting @ TJ Mullignas Quince and Kirby
What happens? We are at the BEST tailgate center outside of across the parking lot from Lambeau. Tents go up around 9:00 and grills are started soon there after. We give a big shout out to Coors for being a sponsor for us. Thank You! See food on the Tail Gate page. We have our rules and regs there.
Game Time:
Most of our games are noon. We finish up our food and drink outside. We lock up our beverages and don't walk into TJs with them!
The Packer Backers have the long section of the bar set aside for our entourage. There are 2 large screens on each end of this space, as well as many flat screens on the wall. There are no bad seats.
TJ's has great beer specials in the "buy a bucket" as well as a drink for the game. TJ's also has a great menu to provide great sandwiches, sausage plate and soups.
Half Time:
We all tend to get up and go outside to talk in the sun and fresh air. We will not bring in the extras from halftime ;->
Post Game:
We love to talk about the WINs. We then have to break down the tents and clean up. Please stick around. sometime we need to help others find their keys. ;->
